Before you know it, the kids will be back in school for another year of learning. The Kiwanis Club of Wellington is raising funds and having a supply drive to provide school supplies for our elementary and middle school children. Please help us provide the new supplies that our kids will need to be successful this coming school year. A recent trip to Wellington’s Discount Drug Mart tells us that the required supplies for a fourth grade student will cost between $50 and $60. Imagine the total cost for families with multiple students in elementary and middle school!
The supplies will be from the 2023-24 supply list for each grade level at Westwood and McCormick. New supplies from these lists can be dropped off from July 10 – August 10 at the following locations:
Cherished Creations – 105 E. Herrick Ave.
Colonial Barbershop – 121 W. Herrick Ave.
Farm & Home Hardware #1 – 120 South Main St.
Herrick Memorial Library – 101 Willard Memorial Square
LCCC Wellington Center – 151 Commerce Dr. #8947
On Track Nutrition/Fresh Market- 208 N. Main St.
P.T. Services – 805 Patriot Dr. # H
Kiwanis will also collect and use monetary donations to purchase supplies in bulk and distribute them at the “Back to School Bash” on August 12.
A $50 donation will cover the cost of supplies for one student. If you would like to donate an amount other than the suggested amounts, click on the “$0.00” and replace the zeroes with your donation amount, then click “Donate” to continue.
