Community service is part of our mission and Kiwanis provides young people with opportunities to serve. Our pride and joy is sponsorship of our Wellington Schools’ Service Leadership Programs. This includes the Wellington High School Key Club, McCormick Middle School Builders Club for students in grades six through eight, and Westwood Elementary/McCormick Middle K-Kids which includes first through fifth graders. We have over 100 students in these clubs, performing service work in the community and school.
We sponsor two high school sophomores to the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Conference at Ohio Northern College
Save the date! The Kiwanis Club of Wellington will host a Candidates Night on Thursday, October 8. Candidates for State Representative, State Senate, Appeals Court, county offices, and representatives from organizations involved with issues on the November 3 ballot have been invited. The Wellington Dukes football team's home opener is Friday night at the Dickson St. Athletic Field. And as we get ready for another home football season, Duke Pride Hill at O'Keefe Way on N. Main St. has never looked better as we commemorate Patriot Day with Kiwanis Club's Parade of Flags. A nice touch with the blue outline which accents the fact we have Oberlin students playing for Wellington. The VFW sponsors the flags on the hill throughout the year. Go Dukes! ... See MoreSee Less
