On September 22, every third-grade student in the Wellington school district received a dictionary compliments of Wellington Kiwanis. This student dictionary includes over 150 pages of supplemental information in the back, including the Constitution of the U.S., the Declaration of Independence, brief biographies of all of the U.S. presidents, world maps, and information about all 50 states, countries of the world and planets in our solar system. sign language, braille and the longest word in the English language.
Third grade teachers were gifted with a Word Teasers game as a tool for their students to improve their skills in using the dictionary.

Our school supply tables were raided Saturday morning at Wellington Schools’ annual Back To School Bash. Kiwanians Deb Lansman (left), Secretary Pam Mazzone, and President-Elect Pam Rousch kept things organized at the tables. The little we had left over went to Westwood Elementary School.
