The annual Kiwanis Pancake Day will be on Friday, February 6, 2026 at the Wellington Eagles. Serving will take place from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. and then resume from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children 8 and under, available at the door. Featured sponsors for Wellington Kiwanis Club’s sixth annual Parade of Flags for Flag Day include Small Town Eye Care at Mercy Health; Valley Chevy at Union School Park, and Councilman Keith and Jennifer Rowland at the Town Hall. Season long sponsors are American Legion Post 8 at the Vietnam Memorial on the south lawn of the Town Hall, VFW Post 6941 at the N. Main St. grade separation, and the Wellington Masonic Lodge at Pioneer Cemetery. All told, we have 302 flags waving for Flag Day throughout the village. This year’s campaign has raised about $9,000 for our proposed playground at Union School Park bringing our total to more than $102,000 for the playground. Flags come down after Flag Day, but we will have them back up for Independence Day and our celebration of 250 years as a country.
