In partnership with the Wellington Masonic Lodge and the Wellington Eagles, Kiwanis is sponsoring a Bed Build on Saturday, October 25, in front of Town Hall with a goal of building 30 beds for children who do not have a bed to sleep in. To raise funds for these beds and the Good Knights of Lorain County organization, an Adventure Raffle is taking place on Saturday, October 4 at the Wellington Eagles, 631 S. Main St.
Save the date! The Kiwanis Club of Wellington will host a Candidates Night on Thursday, October 8. Candidates for State Representative, State Senate, Appeals Court, county offices, and representatives from organizations involved with issues on the November 3 ballot have been invited. The Wellington Dukes football team's home opener is Friday night at the Dickson St. Athletic Field. And as we get ready for another home football season, Duke Pride Hill at O'Keefe Way on N. Main St. has never looked better as we commemorate Patriot Day with Kiwanis Club's Parade of Flags. A nice touch with the blue outline which accents the fact we have Oberlin students playing for Wellington. The VFW sponsors the flags on the hill throughout the year. Go Dukes! ... See MoreSee Less
