The third annual Thanksgiving morning 5K in Wellington will continue in 2025 under the sponsorship of the Kiwanis Club of Wellington and rebranded as the Turkey-Wanis 5K. It’s the same great race with the same race organizers.
The race/walk begins at 9 a.m. on Thursday, November 27. Runners, walkers, dogs, and strollers are welcome. Group awards will be presented, and each registrant is automatically entered into this year’s new feature – a Pumpkin Pie raffle. Entry fees are $25 per participant, plus a $2.50 processing fee. Registration is now open!

Candidates for State Representative, State Senate, Appeals Court, county offices, and representatives from organizations involved with issues on the November 3 ballot have been invited. The Wellington Dukes football team's home opener is Friday night at the Dickson St. Athletic Field. And as we get ready for another home football season, Duke Pride Hill at O'Keefe Way on N. Main St. has never looked better as we commemorate Patriot Day with Kiwanis Club's Parade of Flags.
